Michael Myint, MD

Michael Myint, MD is a strategic advisor to Coopersmith Law + Strategy for COVID-19, population health, patient safety, risk management, and health care technology and innovation.

Dr. Myint leads the Covid-19 response for the eleven hospitals that form MultiCare Health Systems, a large health care system serving communities in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. In that role, he has helped keep patients, providers, and staff safe while effectively confronting the greatest public health emergency of our lifetimes. He works extensively with local, state, and federal officials to coordinate efforts on COVID diagnosis and care.

For CLS Dr. Myint has advised global technology companies on how to improve data collection, assessment, and dissemination, as well as provided insight into emerging technologies that will lower cost and improve outcomes. He has also advised the country’s largest COVID testing provider on proper testing protocols and the latest medical and scientific developments in infection control and response.

Dr. Myint has vast experience in helping hospitals understand and manage infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, H1N1, and Ebola. He previously served as Medical Director of Infection Prevention at Swedish Health Systems. He served or continues to serve on multiple statewide committees on epidemiology and disaster management.

Dr. Myint obtained his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and served as Chief Resident at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California in Los Angeles and completed his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
