Don Howard, MD, PhD

Don Howard, MD, PhD is a strategic advisor to Coopersmith Law + Strategy for diagnostic laboratory operations and regulations, COVID-19 testing at scale, executive team building, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence.

Dr. Howard is the co-founder and former CEO of CellNetix Pathology and Laboratories, a nationally recognized pathology lab revered by physicians for the caliber and complexity of its work. Dr. Howard built CellNetix into a premier comprehensive subspeciality clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory by attracting top talent, forming strategic partnerships, and deploying state-of-the-art technology.

 Prior to establishing CellNetix, Dr. Howard was the Chair of Pathology at Swedish Medical Center and Clinical Professor of Pathology at the University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. Howard provides guidance to health care NGO’s, biotechnology start-ups, and diagnostic laboratories.

Dr. Howard received his PhD in Immunology from the University of British Columbia and his Doctor of Medicine degree in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from the University of Vermont. He did his residency in pathology at the University of Southern California.
