Nwando Anyaoku, MD, MPH, MBA
Nwando Anyaoku, MD, MPH, MBA is a strategic advisor to Coopersmith Law + Strategy for technology adoption, health care systems optimization, health equity and cultural competence, and patient experience.
Dr. Anyaoku is the Chief Health Equity Officer at Swedish Health Services, one of the largest health care systems in the U.S. In this role, she oversees improving access, delivery, and patient experience in a culturally competent way for all patients regardless of background. Part of her duties include organizational change and more reliable data collection and evaluation. Dr. Anyaoku is the co-lead for Swedish’s Office of Health Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.
For CLS, Dr. Anyaoku has advised global technology companies on the voice of the customer, helping the tech industry understand and navigate barriers to adoption and implementation of new and existing technologies. She offers insight into the thinking of both decision-makers and end users.
Dr. Anyaoku previously served as Swedish’s Executive Medical Director of Pediatrics and Executive Medical Director of Medicaid Strategy for Population Health. Prior to that, she was Division Chief of General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey and Medical Director of Pediatrics for CHI Health system in Omaha, Nebraska. She also served as co-founder and Medical Director of the LAMP program in New Jersey, a medico-legal partnership that worked to mitigate the impact of social determinants of disease especially among underserved families.
