Mariola Lisewska

Mariola Lisewska is an attorney at Coopersmith Law + Strategy and a strategic advisor for business strategy, law, data privacy, and compliance with extensive experience in EU markets.

Prior to CLS, she served as General Counsel for a multinational manufacturer and distributor based in Germany. Mariola was responsible for creating their legal department, including the framework for all corporate, contractual, and regulatory relationships. Her deep understanding of the industry enabled her to secure multimillion-dollar funding for investments led by the organization. Mariola headed the data protection program and mentored teams on implementation and enforcement.

Mariola began her career as an attorney for Deloitte’s Warsaw office, advising on diverse corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters.

 More recently, she delivered training on tax compliance issues for the employees of the Ministry of Finance and the National Fiscal Administration in Poland. She has authored numerous publications and lectured at various international conferences on legal and compliance issues.

Mariola obtained graduate degrees in law from the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt Oder, Germany and from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. She earned her Master of Law from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain and Master of Law (LLM) in Global Business Law from the University of Washington School of Law. She also completed postgraduate studies in accounting and taxes at the Poznań University of Economics, Poland. She is licensed to practice law in Poland, Spain, and Washington State.

Mariola is a native Polish speaker fluent in English, German, and Spanish.
